Sovereign cleared on AMF penalties
In November, 2008 the Sovereign was fined a total of $560,000
after being found guilty in the Court of Quebec. The fines
were brought against the Sovereign by the regulator, the
Autorite des marches financiers (AMF) for allegedly being
in violation of legislation respecting the distribution of
financial products and services.
We appealed the decision and recently, this October 6, 2009
the Superior Court in Quebec ruled in our favour, clearing
us of any wrongdoing.
Needless to say, we are very please with the decision and
happy to be cleared of any wrongdoing. |
