Our Impact
At Sovereign, we recognize that our Vision and Values are more than words on a wall. They reflect how we work with each other, our brokers, clients, service providers, and communities every day. Each one of us has a role to play in creating a culture of engagement – a place we are proud to be part of. Whether it is participating in our Town Halls, employee engagement surveys or applauding one of their peers, all employees at Sovereign are actively involved in creating a place where talented people want to be.
In addition to their work within Sovereign, we are also very proud of our employees’ contribution within our communities through our corporate social responsibility and sustainability efforts.
The Sovereign encourages volunteer activities during working hours to a maximum of 2 days per year in support of the Children’s Wish Foundation. Our company has contributed over $1,200,000 to Children’s Wish since naming it as our charity of choice in 2005. Through our staff fundraising we have furthered our sponsorship donation by more than $125,000.
A key sustainability metric we track to support reducing our carbon footprint is the reduction of our paper consumption. In 2010, we are very pleased to report that in our Head Office we reduced our paper consumption by 64% and across the company in 9 offices, we reduced our overall paper usage by 51%.
These accomplishments are a result of the efforts of all our employees – they make the impact.
